Behr's 2022 Color of the Year Is Here

With a breath of fresh air and a healthy dose of optimism, Behr Paint has announced its 2022 Color of the Year to be Breezeway. The shade is “inspired by the earth’s beauty and mimics naturally stunning sea glass found on the shore of salty beaches,” says the brand.

Described as a tranquil, silvery green tone with cool undertones, Breezeway is “an approachable but noticeable color.” The much-loved paint brand hopes that this hue will lead us into the new year not only by evoking “feelings of coolness and peace,” but also by “representing a desire to move forward and discover newfound passions." As a true transition tone, Breezeway is a part of Behr’s wider 2022 Color Trends Palette, full of shades that will “[lead] you from one place to the next.”

In addition to the announcement that Breezeway will carry us into 2022 and beyond, Behr is also launching its “most advanced paint in company history,” Behr Dynasty™. The line “is a four-in-one product that offers DIYers, pro-painters, and design professionals a unique product to deliver beautiful and durable results. It’s the most stain repellent, scuff-resistant, fast-drying, one-coat coverage paint all in one can within the Behr product portfolio,” the company announced.

The 2022 Color Trends palette includes the timeless Whisper White, a bold terracotta red called Perfect Penny, and eighteen other soothing colors that will “inspire us to enter the new year on a hopeful note, while still centering the home as an ultimate safe-haven and oasis.”
