Jodi Gonzalez

Jodi earned a Bachelor’s degree in at the University of Texas at Austin’s nationally renowned school of journalism. She spent many years as an editor and manager at the Austin American-Statesman, working in every department from news to business, sports to lifestyle. She took her expertise from the newsroom to the marketing department, where she helped create the publication’s first sponsored content team.

She has always had an interest in journalism. As a child, Jodi cut the news out of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune every morning and rewrote it to give to her parents, and she wrote for her high school newspaper.

Jodi is based in Texas, where she lives with her husband and three boys, plus their two very sweet dachshunds. When not writing or editing, she spends her time reading everything she can get her hands on, working with her community to fight food insecurity, and endlessly driving her children all over creation.
