Kate Geraghty

Kate Geraghty is the director of commerce for The Spruce and a lifestyle editor with over 10 years of experience. She has been working at The Spruce since August 2019, during which time she's tested vacuums, sheets, air purifiers, and more in our labs in New York and Des Moines, Iowa and in her own Brooklyn apartment.

Kate has her B.A. in English language and literature from Northwestern University.

Experience

In her 10 years of experience as an editor, Kate has covered everything from the best sheets and towels to the best gifts for parents and teens. Prior to working at Dotdash Meredith, Kate got her start as a staff writer for her college fashion magazine, Stitch, and then went on to become an editor at All You and What To Expect. When she's not writing about the latest products, she can be found practicing yoga or cozying up with a great book.

Her favorite Spruce Approved products include this Shark self-emptying cordless vacuum, Brooklinen's super-plush robe, and Beckham Hotel Collection's down-alternative pillows, all of which she uses on a daily basis in her own apartment.

Education
